Review

๐Ÿ“ŒPutting tea leaves in a safe is a little weird, but okay.

This book was an amazing and fun book that I really enjoyed and I’m actually heading over to read book 2 after finishing my review because it is THAT addictive and I don’t even care that it’s 12 am and I’m gonna start another book *(laughs maniacally ๐Ÿคฃ)

Our protagonist is Charissa O’Dell who is the daughter of a police man and woman(late mother), her parents have raised her right and she’s such a goody little helper to everyone she knows. And that’s how she comes by the superhuman tea leaves (which tastes disgusting by the way), she becomes sick but when she gets better she finds out she has super powers. She wants to fight crime like the gas masked man who fought off the bank robbers on TV and like all the superheroes from her beloved comics she decides not to tell her parents about her superpower.

She has a crush on Carter but Vanessa has it in for her so she takes her bicker buddy Kyle from Karate to the school dance, but her nocturnal adventures and having a scheduled life is hard and makes one sleep deprived. Anyways Villian Hunter aka the gas mask man would have her back while fighting crime right……..or won’t he? Read to find out the twisty tangle of double life and a spark of romance.

The plot is very interesting and it doesn’t have any negatives, the characters are very well written, the descriptive aspects are given enough to not ruin the pace of the book, the book is definitely one of my favourites from Jes Drew and will definitely recommend to readers who love comics, superheroes and MG or YA crime fiction.
